I also finally took the advice of Steph and my mom to take my pictures outside. I love the result, though the Certainly Celery clashes with my TicTac green house! Editted to add: The four square panels were embossed with a fun square stitched embossing Cuttlebug folder.
After dinner it's back down to work on some other sketches. Have you played along with this week's Unscripted Sketch yet? Check it out!

Hello! Just found you on Steph's blog. Your blog is super cute! Love your card. You're right - outside photo's are just so much more vivid. I've got to find a place to start taking mine outside! I just signed up to follow your blog - would love for you to follow mine as well! Nice to "meet" you!
ReplyDeleteIsn't it amazing how many challenges are out there!! Very pretty card, the embossed stitching around your squares is such a great detail. Love the soft colors too!
ReplyDeleteI just Love those embossed stitched squares!! Even with some large color blocks, the whole card looks really delicate. I suppose that's appropriate since it is started from a color challenge based on jewelry! :> I also love that you thought out of the box and used metal and ribbon for your gray/silver!! :>
ReplyDeleteThis is terrific! I like the embossed stitching.
ReplyDeleteWhen you can't take your photogrpahy outside, set up your project against a white backdrop ( I use a white towel on my table and a piece of white posterboard for my bckground. Use a "daylight" bulb (found in a big box hardware store) in a clamp light fixture. Turn off any overhead lights (which can cause an orange cast to your photos). This is the combo I find works best for me.
