Happy Birthday Bro!

My brother's birthday was last week and I got to see him yesterday and help paint my nephew's big boy room. I managed to paint the walls more than myself and had some pound cake and strawberries after lunch. Plus I had many kisses from the cutest 2 year old on the block. If only he could say my name. What a delicious day!

As soon as my brother opened the envelope he says "I haven't seen this on your blog." I didn't realize he looked at it regularly enough to notice, and am glad I didn't put it up Friday when I had it finished!

I used Julee's sketch from Verve's may release. I love all her sketches and this one will be used many times in the future! It came together quickly and easily...I just had to do some angling and offsetting to make it a bit less structured. I'm also working on my outdoor picture taking skills. Once the flowers grow a bit I'm sure they'll look even more fabulous...if I don't kill them.

Smiles,

Ink: Midnight Blue Stazon
Stamps: Tag Time, Birthday Greetings
Other: square silver brads (Making Memories)

  1. I need to try to move my picture taking outdoors too!

Great card - and so sweet that dear bro is actually reading your blog! Give him an extra hug from Missouri! That is just too much fun! Anyway, love your card! Thanks for sharing!

  2. Sweet card...love the font for the Happy Birthday! That's really cool that your brother is checking out your creative home.

I haven't told my fam yet that I'm blogging. I'm starting to think maybe it might be better to wait until after Christmas to share so that I can post any handmade goodies that I make for them. :>:> But, I'll have to wait and see if I can keep quiet that long.....or if they notice any pics that pop up on my screen saver with the timecrafted mark on them!!! lol

Pass on any photography tips! That is something that I work with on every photo. Like today...by the time I had completed my card, I was forced to take the pic in the hard afternoon sun and it was hard to capture the gradation of color that I can see with my eye. Always looking to improve my camera skills!

    Have a great night! :>
