Time to Color

I loved to color as a kid. Well as a teacher, and card maker I still do! One thing I'm bad at is branching out and using new colors/different color combinations. So when I saw Lauren Meader's first Time to Color Challenge I wrote the colors down to think about.

I never would have put these together, but love the impact they make:

This card also fits the recipe challenge over at Stamp With Us, to use 2 patterned papers, 4 brads and 1 ribbon. My husband and I need to be writing out birthday thank yous so I'll be sure to have some more of these in the near future!

Don't forget to stop in tomorrow for another Unscripted Sketch!
Smiles,
Paper: So Saffron, Tempting Turquoise, Real Red, Basic Gray DSP, Washington Apple DSP
Ink: Tempting Turquoise
Stamp: Kind Thank You (SU!)
Other: red ribbon (scrap), red brads (Making Memories)

  2. Nicely done! I like the color combo a lot! I agree with Susan that the scalloped circle behind the oval is a neat idea. I may have to scraplift that! :)

  4. I'm really liking these colors together! They work very well! Great job on the card! By the way, you had me laughing out loud with "Lola"!!! I am kicking myself for not making a name that bird contest and giving something away! You would have been the winner, for sure! I'll have to work on something along those lines real soon!
