Wedding Invites

After arriving home from work I went to create, but apparently all I've created lately is a mess. So I worked on cleaning it and lost any desire to stamp that I went downstairs with!!! But it's a bit cleaner now, so that's always good. I thought I'd share some invitations I recently finished for a friend. She and her fiance are doing the wedding mostly on their own so my gift to them is invitations. I did that for my best friend this past fall too, and enjoyed the mass production--only 75 this time.

The happy couple moved here from Florida this summer and love the snow. I love it, just not shoveling it! But a cold winter in New Hampshire still has them staying and getting married....in DECEMBER. So after printing the invites out on Whisper White, I embossed the snowflake (old SU) in silver. It's mounted on Night of Navy and has velum layered over the top. I used a ribbon punch to punch two holes and thread the ribbon (from Michael's) through. I'll be sure to make some matching thank you's this summer.

And if you look closely it isn't a typo...they're getting married on a Tuesday! Both have families all over the country and all over the globe so traveling and time off will be necessary anyway. It will also be the first Christmas the bride spends with all of her brothers and sisters in almost 6 years.
Hope your day was mess free, and full of happy creating!

Smiles,

  2. Wow, these are gorgeous! Winter and the color blue are my favorites too. I love how they turned out. Now I know who to go to if Stephen ever asks me to marry him. LOL :)

  4. After having lived in NH most of my life, I can say that I am sick of winter. And NH has such looooong ones. So how funny that your friends from Florida would love it so much.

These are fabulous invites. The colors are perfect for the season.

I'm glad you got your room cleaned up. Mine is a total and utter disaster. I keep putting "clean up craft room" on my to-do list. But I get up there (mine is upstairs) and after a minute or two of cleaning, I discover something I haven't seen in a while and have to sit down and make something with it right away before I lose my mojo :-)
