Card for Heroes

I'm on a roll with getting back into making cards this week, and DH is going to NYC for the weekend so I'll be sure to keep the mojo flowing. I combined a sketch from Card Positioning Systems with the colors from this week's Color Throwdown.

The ribbon came from my best friend's wedding invites, which I had some leftover after making hers last year. Perfect touch at the end! I'm putting this card along with many others into a box to send out to Cards for Heroes today.

If you haven't already checked it out, be sure to head over and see what you can do to help a worthy cause.
Smiles,
Paper: Certainly Celery, Chocolate Chip, Perfect Plum, Delicate Dots DSP, Candy Lane DSP
Ink: Certainly Celery, Perfect Plum
Stamps (SU): Mini Mates, Friendship Blooms
Other: ribbon (unknown), corner rounder, scallop circle punch, circle punch

  2. Beautiful card Caryl! What an awesome cause. I went and checked it out. Our GS troop was looking for a service project and this may be just what we need.
    Thanks a bunch.

I went to the hero web sight. Are you sending the 25 Christmas cards +2? What a great idea. I better go get busy. Thanks for the comment and the great idea.

  7. Good job on combining both the color and sketch challenges. How fun that you can use some "recycled" ribbon. And how nice that you made the cards for CFH.
