Oh how I've missed creating. This is one of the first times I've even turned my computer on all week and I had a few sweet comments that inspired me to share quickly!
This is a card I created a couple weeks ago for a friend's wedding. I was planning on incorporating a piece of their invitation but my DH had conveniently moved it and I couldn't find it before we had to leave! Turns out the bridesmaids wore black so I was along the right theme anyway. I did have a sketch in mind when doing it but that challenge has since passed, as has my knowledge of which one.
School has been good but I forgot how busy September keeps me! I'm looking forward to tomorrow because I have zero plans after school. I'll definitely be back for Unscripted Sketches on Saturday and hope to stop by your blog and leave some love!

Good to see you Caryl! Your card is beautiful, but just 'hearing' your voice is so much fun! We understand how busy you are, and we'll be patient! Know that you are missed!! Have a great day tomorrow. Hugs!
ReplyDeleteThank goodness you posted a creation, I have been going through Caryl with drawls! Beth
ReplyDeleteThis card is just gorgeous! I'm glad to hear you're ok! I too missed ya! :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card! I love the layout. Your friend must have loved it.
ReplyDeleteSeptember is the worst and it is almost over. Tomorrow we have Grandparent hour. I always plan it for the end of September and when it is over I know everything will get better from this point out. The children are getting into a nice grove and I am getting use to my new schedule. My hubby has shoulder surgery next Friday and I am sure that will slow down my card making. I went to an Amuse/Copic class tonight. I might be putting those cards on my blog if I don't have time for my favorite challenges. Anyway it is nice to see your back.
Wonderful sentiment for a wedding. I like the shimmery, pleated paper for the background. Really gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteCaryl -- love the simple elegance of this card. The quote is a fave and your neutral colors and clean layout are beautifully done!
