Baptized with blessings

Today is my nephew's baptism. DH and I are his older brother's godparents and even though we aren't godparents again (I have to give my SIL's family a turn!) I'm so excited to share in this day with them. Besides, his godparents live across the country so I have a feeling we'll play a big role in his life anyway.

For my card I used this week's Mojo Monday sketch. The picture does not do the card justice--that's what I get for taking pictures in the 12th inning of baseball when I should be sleeping! I didn't upload pics until I already sealed the envelope and no amount of photoshop could fix it, so it is what it is. My favorite piece of this is the cross charm. It was on the invitations to the baptism, so I untied that ribbon and put it on here. I created the sentiment on the computer--a saying on a frame I was checking in at work this week.

Hoping this baseball game will be ending soon.......hope you have a great Sunday!

  3. Love it, love it! I love that you used cross from the invitation. And it was so nice of you to share your nephew with your SIL's family.
What a good fan you are to stay up 'till the end. My hubby is a big Yankees fan and he went to bed only to kick himself in the morning.

  4. This is a lovely card and so appropriate for the occasion. I like that you re-used the charm.

I can't cheer on your Yankees with you. I know my team (the Orioles) were a complete disaster this year and would never have made it to the playoffs, but we have a saying around here..... My two favorite teams are the Orioles and anyone playing against the Yankees. So, Go Angels ;-)
