Unscripted and a Winner!

Boy am I glad it's Saturday! The end of the school year (and all the children in the class) have been kicking my butt and I'm just exhausted these days. 11 school days left and then I can play and be crafty WAY more often! Today I'm off to a bridal shower so I used this week's Unscripted Sketch to make a card for the bride...

I bought her a breadmaker (yummy!) and wanted to give her my favorite bread recipe for Anadama Bread, a cornmeal and molasses bread. I've never made it in a breadmaker but I'm sure it's just as delicious. So the navy ribbon goes around to the inside to hold a little pocket I created for the recipe card. The colors are her wedding colors from the save-the-date and invitation.
As for the blog candy winner from the challenge I set last week for the OWH blog hop, lucky number 3 Susan G was the winner. Shoot me an e-mail Susan and I'll get your candy out to you so you can make some more beautiful cards!
Hope you'll head over to Unscripted Sketches to see the DT's beautiful work (in a slightly new format) and play along yourself. Happy weekend!

  1. Beautiful card, Caryl! You did a wonderful job. Love that the ribbon carries over to the inside of the card!!! So happy that you are nearly finished with the school year. I love summer vacation, and having you around every day!!! Can't wait!

  2. Gorgeous card Caryl!! And woo-hoo only 11 more days to go (but who's counting right!!)LOL!

    And congrats to Susan!!

  3. What a cute card! Love the colors and the paper you used.

I can't wait for summer vacation too and I'm not even in school!

  4. Very nicely done! I thought this weeks sketch was a bit too tough for me, but you rocked it! Glad to hear you only have a few days left until summer vacation. Miss ya! *hugs*

  5. Beautiful card I love the image. The bread sounds yummy. I have gained 10 lbs in the last nine months. It was a ruff year. But boy could I go for a slice of that bread right now. I got to like eating what I shouldn't. Now I have to get myself to stop.
I hope your last 11 go well. Don't you have to give them lots of test that will keep their brains working not their mouth? Hee Hee

  6. Caryl this is gorgeous! I love the colors and the image you used - just perfect!

  7. Caryl this card is gorgeous, I love that stamp and those papers you chose are fantastic! Beth
