Help the animal shelters!

We got our cat Melky from the animal shelter almost 3 years ago and he has become the king around here. I wanted a kitten (as did many others that day) but the shelter had none. I must have watched 4 or 5 families find out there were no kittens and just turn and leave. But we stayed and walked around looking at all those kitties in cages and fell in love with the Melkman! Each cage listed info about the cat, including how long they'd been there. Some had been there for more than 6 months! Please help these animals get some FREE food by clicking HERE. It only took me ten seconds and you can do it once a day. Have a fabulous Sunday and I hope it's not raining where you are. At least we had sun in NH yesterday.....

Smiles,

  2. I clicked... LOVE those pound babies, don't you? Our little white furball was a pound critter. We rescued her just in time, and she absolutely rules! Thanks for being so thoughtful!

  3. Great idea, Caryl! I too LOVE animals. I worked at an animal rescue for several years and help is needed desperately. We currently have 6 cats and a doggie (all rescues). Thanks for spreading the word and looking out for our furry friends :~)

  4. Nice story about Melky. Did you happen to go to the animal shelter in Goffstown? I don't know if it's still there actually. But I worked there in 1983-1984.

So how did you come up with the name Melky? I see that he is enjoying his spot of sunshine among your crafting things.

There are two other sites to give free food too. They're fun sites with quizes. freekibble for dogs and free kibble for cats

  5. Great advert, Caryl. I've been clicking daily at this site for quite awhile now. I wouldn't miss the chance to share some food. We have 3 rescued canines and 2 felines that avoided a shelter because our community works to find homes for the ones needing them. We feel blessed.

  7. Great way to help our little hairy friends. I got Max from an animal shelter about 9 years ago. Wow I didn't realize he was that old until now. My sons and I went just to look at the kittens. Yea Right! Is Melky shedding? Max is shedding all over the house.

  9. It's sad that no one wants older cats. They want a home too! Thanks for the link. I'll head over there.
