Motherly Advice

In keeping with my New Year's resolutions to finish some projects, I used this week's Unscripted Sketch to make a layout for my friend's scrapbook. So now I have three pages done and I started in May. Ugh!

This week's sketch was created by Steph, and though I had about 50 ideas for cards to do I decided to challenge myself. And as you can see from my interpretation it truly is Unscripted: Flip it, Rotate it…There is no right or wrong way, as long as you are using the Unscripted Sketch as the basis for your creation. I took that quite literally with this one!
At my friend's shower we had these cards out for people to leave words of advice, and wedding wishes on. This is the bride with her mother and future MIL so the cards are their words of wisdom to her. I'm not in love with it, but another page done and I'll work on a few more over the long weekend. Not only did I start finally finishing this because she moved back to NH, but did I mention she's having a baby in May? So I need to get this finished!
I'm taking at least one full day this weekend to have fun creating and just sitting around blog hopping. Can't wait to see what you create at Unscripted Sketches!

  1. what a super page. she's gonna love it. she probably forgot what her mom & MIL wrote anyway. so she's gonna love it! and the fact that YOU did it for her - is priceless!

    hugs :)

  2. She will think it's perfect! You are a good friend to be doing this for her. Great page! Hope you have some time tomorrow to play! Hugs...

  3. Thanks for visiting my blog. I found "time" for the US sketch because I'm now on the Design Team-lol! Love your take on the sketch! Cute card!

  4. It is a great LO Caryl and she will LOVE it!!! have fun this weekend !

  5. I wish I could see more of the picture. This is a great idea! Your friend will be so happy. Advice is always a good idea for a book. You can take what you want and close the book when you have had enough. Only kidding.
I hope you had fun this weekend creating. It just is never long enough. School is taking more and more out of me.
Wow I see you have 65 followers now. Congratulations! That is wonderful. Have a great week!

  6. What a great idea to turn the card layout into a sb page.

  7. Love the handwritten journaling -- this is such a special touch!!!

  8. You have tested it and writing form your personal experience or you find some information online?

Thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment, they always make my day. I love to get feedback and would love to visit your blog too!
