Difficulty focusing

I'm stumped when it comes to cardmaking, but in a good way, this week. I just have my mind wrapped around a project for my sweet nephew, who is also my godson. Last year I made invitations for his first birthday, with the theme of Backyardigans:

The little head at the bottom is Pablo, his favorite character. I had fun making it once I figured out how in the world I would do it! I especially love how I put the grass at the bottom and snipped it to make it freshly cut too. Sorry for the bad photo--there's no good lighting here at night.

Carter's 2nd birthday is one month from today and I'm in charge of invites again--because I love a challenge and I volunteered! This year it's Thomas the Tank Engine. With no train stamps I will be paper piecing it again. Until I get the first one completed (hopefully tomorrow when I pick up some big brads) and approved, I don't know how many other cards I can make. That and the craft area is a mess and in need of a good cleaning! So until I can find my table Sunday, who knows what I'll be doing! I'll be sure to share Thomas when he reveals himself to me....I think I'm dreaming of trains....

Smiles,

  1. Not having kids, I have no idea what a backyardigan is, but your card is cute with it's rainbow colors.

I have a Cricut cartridge that cuts train shapes. They don't look like Thomas and friends (I do know who they are!) but if you are interested, let me know and I will be glad to cut and send some along to you.
