Mother's Day Mojo

I heard that this week's sketch for Mojo Monday was challenging, and the rumors were correct. This is the exact opposite of a CAS card, but my husband's grandmother will love it:

What do you think? I don't have any Mother's Day stamps (and haven't made any other cards for Sunday!) so I printed this sentiment on the computer, using the Pristina font. This card is also for this week's Created By Courtney challenge to use flowers. We've got plenty of showers in NH, now we just need some of these May flowers to bloom!

Paper: Regal Rose, Chocolate Chip, Textured White, Green Galore, Candy Lane DSP, Pixie Pink

Ink: Green Galore, Black(inkjet sentiment)

Stamps: In Full Bloom (SU!)

Other: Cuttlebug Folder, Sandylion stickers (flowers, butterfly), scallop border punch (SU!), Certainly Celery grosgrain ribbon

  1. Momma will love it! Very pretty card! I love that you did your sentiment on the computer - you are clever!!! Great job on the sketch too - I'm still wondering what to do on this one!

  2. Caryl this is beautiful! I'm in agreement that she'll love it! Love it!

  3. Wow, this is a very pretty card. You did a great job, I know she'll love it:)

  4. Beautiful card! Nice colors! ~Olena~

  5. What a sweet and pretty Mother's Day card! I love it! Love that little butterfly. I scrolled down your page and saw the 'swine flu' pic and just about died laughing! TFS! Thanks for visiting my blog too!

  6. You did a terrific job with this sketch. Your colors are so pretty and those flowers are adorable.

I think it's terrific that you printed your sentiment on the computer. That way you can choose any size and font. I always mean to do that when I can't find something appropriate in my "sentiments" drawer. But that would require going downstairs (my craft room is on the second floor, office on the first), trying not to get distracted by the internet before opening my Word program, figuring out what font, what color, what size...... Too much!

    Happy Teacher's Day!

  7. Love your butterfly. Great take on the Mojo sketch.

    It's a good life!
