No, I don't have any candy to give away....but check out Ann's blog here. Wow is all I have to say!
And onto the card....
And onto the card....
I was loving Stacey's Jewelry Color Inspiration for this week and had a lot of fun creating today. I originally thought I'd actually try to incorporate bottlecaps into the card, but they proved to be larger than I realized. So I used a fun Hero Arts clear stamp I had and embossed it in silver. The stamp had the letter f in the middle so I punched out some 1/2 inch circles to mimic the bottlecaps in the jewelry and added a flower. Being the packrat that I am I found some beads from a craft endeavor, probably in middle school, and carefully threaded those onto the ribbon. Viola, what do you think?
Even better than making a card and getting to the gym today, I came home from many errands to find some RAK from Susan. I'm sure to create something soon with what she sent me. Thanks so much! The next thing on my summer to-do list is to share the love, and make someone else smile. That and all my cards for Cards for Heroes. And my nephew's birth announcements. And cleaning the house a bit......I'm always adding to the list!!!
Paper: YoYo Yellow, Very Vanilla, Kiwi Kiss, Pink Pirouette
Ink: Olive Green Stazon
Stamps: Hero Arts clear stamps, If the Halo fits (SU-flower)
Other: ribbon, beads, silver embossing powder
What a fun design, Caryl! The colors look so yummy on your card...especially with the addition of those clear beads:) Thanks for playing the JCI43!
ReplyDeleteCaryl, This is just so much fun! I love the pink with the green and yellow! I wouldn't have even thought to put those together. They look amazing! Great job with everything. What a fun challenge!
ReplyDeleteGreat card, love the beads.
ReplyDeleteSounds like you are winding up. Take it easy. Remember you are to rest and relax during your break. Yea Right! Did you read Glitterbabe's post about being frazzled?
Oh, so much to do and so little time!
That is not an easy color combo but you did it justice..I love the card...the beads are the finishing touch.
ReplyDeleteHey girl - have you checked your email today??? I sent you one and haven't heard anything back...hope you still love me!!!
ReplyDeleteGreat job with the challenge! Love the beads on it--I need to try that!
ReplyDeleteYou did a great job with the color combo. I tried it but got stuck on the yoyo yellow. It's just SO bright. But it really works on your card the way you did the circle images over it.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you liked the punchies.
Isn't it funny how you think that now that you are on summer vacation that you will have time to relax and instead you are busier than when you are working. I have a friend that retired and she said that she was so looking forward to not working, but she's busier than ever.
Great card! I LOVE the beaded ribbon!
ReplyDeleteThis is simply adorable! The colors are definitely different, but I love how well they go with each other.
ReplyDeleteLove how you added the beads! Nice touch!
